If you "Like" the North Flintshire Police police department in Wales and were scrolling through Facebook recently, you might have come across a post that started "This is Jamie Worrall, a man who frequents our posts more than we care to admit," and featured what looked like a mugshot of a young man.
Your first thought would probably be, "what kind of person 'frequents' a police department's Facebook posts so much that the police know him by name?" As you read on, you discover that he's wanted, "in relation to a serious incident." Uh oh, it seems a fan of the police has become wanted by them!
Well, wait, Worrall is no fan of the police and he's not a good person. He was wanted on two counts of attacking his ex-girlfriend. But the exchange that went down on social media is both satisfying and pretty funny.
The FB post goes on, "Jamie.... we're coming for you!"
The gauntlet was thrown. The police were after this abuser.
Incredibly, the first post to follow was from the fugitive himself. It turns out he really was a regular on their Facebook page.
"Love you all from lee h and J, see yas soon you lot will never catch us on your salsry #winning" is the direct quote. We assume this genius meant "salary" but it's hard to tell, he's clearly not a criminal mastermind. The police don't seem to think so either. They proved it just 12 hours later when the Welsh police caught young Jaime. He went all Edward G. Robinson in Little Caesar, whose character famously said: "you will never put any cuffs on me!" But unlike Robinson's character in the movie, thankfully, Jaime didn't go out in a hail bullet, just a whimper, 12 hours later.
And the North Flintshire Police weren't going to let it go anytime soon:
That's right, they got this genius and they got him quick.
Now he has five months in the lockup to think up his next ingenious taunt. Let's hope when and if he does, the Flint Police are on it like they were on it this time!
Maybe they will really count to ten next time, just to give Jaime a sporting chance.
They even went on in another post, with a photo of a laughing old-time looking Bobby, reading:
As we write this, we are wiping the tears out of our eyes and trying to not to fall out of our seats.
Yesterday the gauntlet was thrown down by Jamie Worrall who we circulated as wanted.
He replied to our post saying 'Love you all from lee h and J' ... well the first part was nice, he then said 'see yas soon' ... correct... 'you_lot will never catch us on your salsry.' I think he meant salary, which is now safe, seeing as we caught him, in Blackpool, within 12hrs. incidentally_the male known as lee h,was also arrested."
