Many of us grew up reading Little Golden Books, but all of them weren't exactly appropriate for children. Some were sexual or racist, and others were just plain scary. Check out the 14 worst titles, and let us know if you'd ever let your kid read these!

Kindergarten Caron
Kindergarten Caron

From the look on Caron's face -- and especially her cold, dead eyes -- we're not so convinced that she actually enjoys kindergarten. And is that a giant alien clown invading a farm in her drawing?

Bad Little Girl
Bad Little Girl

If you look closely at the little drawings on the cover, you'll see that this little girl is indeed very bad. She's doing cartwheels and throwing punches at some other little girl! Our only question is, does the story encourage good behavior or bad because the cover definitely makes it looks like the latter.

Getting Your Tonsils Removed
Getting Your Tonsils Removed

Why would any kid want to read about getting their tonsils removed? The actual surgery is scary enough as it is! The freaky nurse and Jack & Jill aren't exactly helping things, either.

Jerry Is Special
Jerry Is Special

Our first question is, why does Jerry get his own book? He must be one special kid to have the cover all to himself as he paints a distraught woman. Such talent. Jerry will go far in life.

The Secret Garden Of Gloom
The Secret Garden Of Gloom

Is it just us or does this little girl not look too happy about being in that garden? Perhaps she was trapped in there and is just now escaping.

The Twins From
The Twins From "The Shining"

These twins look like they have seen stuff. Everything from their dolls to their facial expressions are exactly the same and it's creeping us out. And what's up with that ominous title? Whatever is going on with these girls, we're pretty sure we never want to get on their bad side.

Linda
Linda

Apparently Linda so much more important than her younger sister that we're not even going to mention her name. Imagine being a little sister and having your parents hand you this book. We're guessing there were plenty of tears shed over this one.

Baby Has Gone Missing
Baby Has Gone Missing

We are completely confused by this one. Did someone take the baby? Did the baby go back to the hospital? Is the baby playing hide-and-go-seek? Did the baby die? Whatever happened to the baby, it looks like this creepy little girl knows.

Uh, Racist Much?
Uh, Racist Much?

We're baffled as to how this title ever made it to the shelves. We don't even want to know what this story is about. Just on the cover alone there are way too many negative stereotypes being depicted.

The Bandage Man
The Bandage Man

First off, Doctor Dan does not look old enough to be called a man. Second, why isn't this story called "Doctor Danielle?" GIRLS DO THINGS, TOO! Lastly, why is Doctor Dan bandaging a doll who looks creepily similar to Danielle? So much WTFness here.

Little Mommy
Little Mommy

It's never too early to be a mommy! At least, that's the message we're getting from this cover. We can just imagine every mothers' delight when they found their precious little girl reading this book and asking how they could become a little mommy.

Emotions Are Hard
Emotions Are Hard

We're not sure how we feel about this book. Sad? Confused? Upset? Whatever it is we're feeling, we better destroy it now before things get out of hand.

Haunted House
Haunted House

The house looks like it's about to crush this little kid who's just standing there, begging for his life. Welp, you should have thought about putting your sneakers away the first time the house ask you to.

Doing Things
Doing Things

What kinds of things? Whether this book was written by a creep or not, this title should never have made it to print. Children may be oblivious to the double-meaning behind "doing things" but the picture of the girl holding onto the boy pretty much cements it for any adult.

Birds
Birds

Birds are creepy, as Hitchcock has shown us. We often have nightmares about them flying after us in hordes, so who's the sicko who decided to scare the living daylights out of everyone with this cover? Run little child, before they peck your arm off!

Little Golden Book Inception
Little Golden Book Inception

There's a Little Golden Book cover with a girl reading a Little Golden Book with a picture of herself reading that Little Golden Book on it. Just thinking about it makes our heads hurt. Perhaps this is where they got the idea for the movie "Inception?"
