Crazy Fact of the Day

Here is something crazy to think about. Cleopatra lived closer in time to the 1969 moon landing than she did to the construction of the Great Pyramids of Giza.

The pyramids were constructed around 2560 BC, which was just shy of 2,500 years before Cleopatra was even born in 69 BC. On the other side of that, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin first stepped on the lunar surface in 1969, which was only about 2,000 years after Cleopatra died in 30 BC.

What's even crazier is that Cleopatra lived even closer to Elizabeth Taylor's Portrayal of the Egyptian leader in the 1963 film Cleopatra.
